Tour Juniper Hotel & Bistro In Banff National Park

There are many hotels and inns around Banff National Park, but there’s no lodging in Banff quite like the Juniper Hotel & Bistro. This independently-owned hotel has everything you come to Banff to experience: panoramic views, wildlife, hearty local food, and it’s right in the middle of all of it.

The mid-century modern lodge is set along the wildlife corridor and perched above the Trans-Canada highway. This specific spot has been a gathering point for thousands of years for indigenous people and animals alike, a fascinating history you can learn all about in the hotel’s lobby and hallway exhibits. For the last 60 years many visitors (including us) have called the Juniper Hotel a temporary home. The wilderness is right on your doorstep, the mountains rise up from the back door, and elk, coyote, and deer wander by the windows every day. Bustling downtown Banff is in view and only minutes away.

There are 52 guest rooms, from cozy standard rooms to rustic woodland cabins and deluxe suites with breathtaking mountain views. Whichever you choose, the wilderness is on your doorstep and the amenities of downtown Banff only minutes away.

Standard woodland rooms have the option of one king bed, one queen bed, or two double beds. The upgrade to a valley room, which inside is identical to the woodland room, is well worth it if you ask us. The views are priceless, and Deluxe valley rooms and suites overlook the Bow Valley and Banff town. Valley suites have the same view plus a fireplace and extra room to stretch out and dry out your gear. Woodland cabins are tucked away from the main building and have a bedroom on the first floor and additional beds in the upstairs loft.

The specials continue with weekday après ski deals from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. A lift ticket or season pass gets you 50% off anything on the Graze Menu and selected drinks. The best seat is by the fire or near a window to ogle the mountains from the comfort of the warm dining room.

Juniper Hotel & Bistro is one of the Charming inns and small hotels of Alberta, and a stay here is one you won’t soon forget.
