After a full day exploring the slopes of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, you’ll want to roll your sore legs to the nearest comfy bed to recover (after a quick stop at apres ski). There are many homes, hotels, and condos nearby to rest up. However, if you want an elevated experience, the Eagle’s Eye Suites are the top (literally at the top of the mountain).
The Eagle’s Eye Suites give unparalleled access to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The two exclusive suites are located at the top of the Golden Eagle Express Gondola at 7,700 feet. They are the highest accommodations in Canada.
There are only two rooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed, perched on the second floor above the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant. The king room faces East for sunrise and the queen room faces West for sunset. Each suite offers stunning views of the Purcell Mountains through windows and from private balconies. Both rooms have their own ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub, natural toiletries, and two cozy robes.
An overnight in the suites is much more than a place to sleep. These included perks make the experience truly memorable.
- Welcome drink or one bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival
- Private chef-prepared two-course dinner for two
- Butler service to manage requests in the mountaintop location
- Continental breakfast for two
- Guaranteed first tracks in the morning (lift ticket additional)

The suites ($899 Canadian per night all inclusive) are only available during the ski season (December 7, 2019 through April 13, 2020). If your stay coincides with a big snowstorm, the suites turn into a real life snow globe with swirling flakes all around the windows.
